If you’re looking for furniture for one home office and love a deal, you might want to call your local commercial design furniture sales folks and see what they have that needs to be rehomed.

I bought it at a local place that sells new and refurbished office furniture (They have SO MUCH furniture right now since offices are downsizing or closing) and I think I paid slightly more than the amazon price, but it was so worth it to have a place where I could go sit in scores of chairs and figure out which one worked for me. The combination of a mesh back and a padded seat is apparently my sweet spot as in my old office chair that was all mesh, the hard edging at the front edge of the seat tended to dig uncomfortably into my thighs, even after it was adjusted specifically for me by an ergonomic consultant.

(Note to others, if you pop into someone else’s office to use it temporarily, please don’t adjust their char!)

The front edge of this chair being cushioned eliminated that problem, and it’s quite a bit more comfortable to me to sit on a padded cushion.

It’s fine, and is better for short periods than sitting all day. I’d get something else if I had budget.
One warning: I’ve had buttons on back pants pockets and the like get stuck in the holes so when I stand up, they’ve either ripped off or I’ve been yanked backwards into the chair. Which was weird and annoying. So, if I’m wearing anything that might get caught, I now drape a scarf or something else over the back of the chair.
