I thought I answered this one but am interested in how it turned out. Bring your brush, mouthwash and a good toothpaste b/c you do not know if he has good hygene yet. Besides, if you are going to sleep there, you might as well has fresh breathe in the morning, especialy if you are busy at nite with him doing stuff that will need to get your natural breathe back in the morning. Good luck and happy new year!

This is exactly how I read the OP’s question and I agree with the advice.

If the question is more about: how to pack overnight stay necessities when you don’t want to bring a giant overnight bag which would imply you’re staying the night, but want to leave your options open if the night goes that way and you do spend the night? If that’s it, then anything that fits in your purse is fair game – makeup wipes, toothbrush, clean under things, etc.

If it’s not that, and you’ve had the conversation and you both know you plan to spend the night, then bring a bag with whatever you might use for a normal overnight stay.

If he is freaked out by basic hygiene, you should not be sleeping with him.

Agree with others that you are overthinking this. Maybe a helpful way to reframe is if you were going away together to a hotel, would you find it strange to bring X item? Toothbrush? Hairbrush? Of course not.
